Breaking records here in the UK over the weekend with its #1 opening, Skyfall is still set to conquer the US in just over a week, with Daniel Craig reprising his role once more as the world-renowned James Bond.

The film has been surrounded with anticipation, earning solid early reviews – you can read our review here – and now it’s clear that the UK and audiences around the world love it just as much. With the US being the main territory still left for the film to open in, Sony will likely be continuing their aggressive marketing of the film in the States, now putting out a new twenty-second TV spot.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Craig stars alongside an all-star cast, headed up by Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench.

Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning director of American Beauty, is making his Bond debut behind the camera, with a script penned by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Logan was also announced last week as pitching the first two-film arc in the Bond franchise for the next two instalments in the franchise, and naturally there will be very high expectations for such an ambitious undertaking, that Logan is sure to deliver on.

Skyfall is currently on wide release in cinemas and IMAX theatres across the UK. In the US, it will be arriving in IMAX theatres on 8th November, before going wide next Friday on 9th November. For now, here’s the new TV spot, with twenty seconds of Craig/Bond goodness. Enjoy.
