Disney’s latest live-action film, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, is due out in the US this summer, and promises to be the studio’s usual blend of family wholesomely goodness.

The Oscar-nominated Peter Hedges (About a Boy, Dan in Real Life) is directing from his own script, with Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton leading the cast, supported by David Morse, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ron Livingstone, Dianne Wiest, and Common, and stars Cameron ‘CJ’ Adams as the young Timothy Green.

MSN have debuted the latest trailer, and the plot looks a little something like this:

“Academy Award(R)-nominated director/writer Peter Hedges (“Dan in Real Life,” What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?”) brings enchantment to the screen with “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim–and their small town of Stanleyville–learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.”

The Odd Life of Timothy Green is set to be released in the US on 15th August, and though no UK release has yet been set, I’d imagine that we’ll be getting it around the same time too in the summer. Here’s the new trailer to see what Disney have in store for us.
