Open Road Films have released a brand new one-sheet for Side Effects, as has been uncovered by the Huffington Post.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, Side Effects is written by frequent collaborator Scott Z. Burns (Contagion) and stars Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as a woman whose addiction to prescription drugs spirals out of control when her husband is released from prison.

The film, which also stars Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago) and Jude Law (Anna Karenina), is noted as Soderbergh’s penultimate film before his supposed retirement after next year’s Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra.

It’s undoubtedly a simple one-sheet, but one that successfully avoids clichés to subtly, yet effectively hint at what could be a darker, more scuzzy side to the pharmaceutical thriller that will likely unravel the more Mara’s character is overcome by drugs.

Side Effects is scheduled to hit UK cinemas on March 15, 2013. In the meantime, check out the new one-sheet embedded below:
