Taking a break from posing heroically the latest poster for Dreamworks’ Shrek spin-off has one of Puss in Boots’ most memorable moments front and centre to emotionally manipulate you into an excitable frenzy.
Antonio Banderas leads with his voice and has Salma Hayek? as Kitty Softpaws, Zach Galifianakis? as Humpty Dumpty?, and Billy Bob Thornton as Jack (of Jack and Jill fame) in support.
Given the depths to which the Shrek films have fallen it’s a surprise that the word on Puss in Boots is very positive at the moment, and while I can’t see a dozen sequels sparking off this one like an errant catherine wheel at least we’ll have a decent animated movie from the franchise once again.
Paws, and fingers, crossed. A festive friendly release date of the 9th of December is ours to be had. Look below for the new poster and click if the mood takes you.
