Somehow, and don’t ask me exactly how, I’ve already done a post on a new poster for Dreamworks’ Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots. I don’t remember doing it, but it’s here for all to see. It’s got my name on it but I can’t say I recall writing it.
There was also a trailer. I don’t remember seeing that either, but here it is in all its glory.
And now comes a new poster and a new trailer. They are nothing special at all, but for the booted CG feline enthusiast in your life there’s never been a better time to have access to the internet.
It’s hard to say how it will play out in the event of its release but with the Shrek series plummeting in quality there’s a cat-shaped glimmer of hope on the horizon and it may well be Antonio Banderas’ prurient pussy to the resuce. Hauling in Salma Hayek and Zach Galifiankis is probably a decent move but the plundering of fairy tales is fine as long as you’ve got your wits about you and there’s an element of fun. The last two Shrek films had neither.
