Here’s our first look at the poster for Vampirama Byzantium from Neil Jordan. Looks nice doesn’t it?
Jordan directs the script from Moira Buffini who adapted her own stage play, Byzantium features Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan as a mother/daughter vamping team (my interpretation, not the official term) with Sam Riley, Johnny Lee Miller and X-Men: First Class’s Caleb Landry Jones caught up in their bloodthirsty wake.
All we’ve seen so far from the production are some set pictures from the shoot in Ireland and very nice they are too. Jordan, as the poster happily proclaims, is no stranger to the fanged fiends with Interview with the a Vampire being a standout connection, also The Company of Wolves early on in his career may influence this one. Here’s hoping.
