So, with the release date of the 22nd of April hovering ominously on the horizon I think it’s time we had another look at Jason Winer’s remake of Arthur, don’t you?
The film updates the 1981 film, replacing Dudley Moore with Russell Brand and John Gielgud with Helen Mirren, but keeps the same premise, that of a hapless moneybags having to grow up and find love, himself and a Batmobile.
The trailer came along and was pretty much as you’d expect and if you were a fan of the Dudley Moore film then the sight of Russell Brand usurping your hero may be a little hard to get over, but Helen Mirren should provide the perfect foil to the lanky playboy.
Still no sign of Greta Gerwig, and I’m still not happy about that.
