I read a tweet this morning by a film critic who advised he is embargoed on his review of Immortals, but referred to the director as Tiresome Singh. That seems to me not to bode well, but who knows?

Maybe I’m being dazzled by high production values (the eternal quest of Super 8’s Charles), but what I’ve seen of Immortals so far has frankly impressed me and this latest clip continues that trend.

We see Henry Cavill’s Theseus approach a hooded King Hyperion and after a bit of muttering, it all looks set to kick off. Mickey Rourke seems to be having a whale of a time, chewing the scenery for all he’s worth and Cavill looks utterly at home on leading man duties, which bodes well for his even more heroic upcoming turn as Kal-El.

Enjoy the clip below, for which thanks be to Yahoo Movies.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
