Earlier this week, Entertainment Weekly visited the set of HBO’s epic fantasy series, Game of Thrones, in Croatia to interview the producers and cast, and then to Belfast to snap some exclusive behind-the-scenes photos.

EW asked the cast how the Thrones team pulled off the second season, what fans can expect it, and what to do to catch up if you didn’t manage to see the first series. If you are interested in finding the answers, then this week’s issue consists of 4 collectible covers, featuring either Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, or Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, all of which can be seen below.

The issue also includes a number of exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot, including the one below of the cast playing air guitar.

Created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the series is based on author George R. R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire collection of fantasy novels, with season two based closely around the second novel, A Clash of Kings. Set in the medieval fantasy world of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent struggles among the kingdom’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the new second season opens, additional threats from the snow and ice-covered region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent across a narrow sea are simultaneously beginning to rise.

With season two set to premiere on HBO on 1st April, you can buy this week’s magazine and choose from the choice of covers here.
