Django-Unchained-Character-Poster-Leonardo-DiCaprioQuentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained is set to be another big success, taking in just shy of an estimated m. in the US alone since its Christmas Day release.

Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio lead an all-star cast, and we can’t wait for its arrival here in the UK in mid-January.

We saw a brilliant new trailer for the film just before its release in the States, and Yahoo Movies have given us a great new featurette focusing on DiCaprio and his fine performance, which has already earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and it’s looking good for a repeat performance when the Oscar nominations are announced on 10th January.

“Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.”

Foxx, Waltz, and DiCaprio are joined by a great cast, headed up by Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Jonah Hill, Don Johnson, and Walton Goggins.

Tarantino is naturally once more directing from his own script, with past collaborators Bob and Harvey Weinstein serving as executive producers.

Django Unchained is now playing in theatres across the US, following its very successful release on Christmas Day. We’ve got slightly longer to wait for its arrival here, with its UK release date set for 18th January, but when it comes to Tarantino, it’s always going to be worth the wait. For now, here’s the great new featurette focusing on three-time Oscar nominee, Leonardo DiCaprio.
