After a rocky few weeks for Marvel Studios, Ant-Man recently gained a new writer in the form of Anchorman’s Adam McKay and a new helmer in Yes Man director Peyton Reed. Now, some interesting new details about the project (which was formerly being headed up by Edgar Wright) have found their way online.

According to JoBlo, the main villain is indeed Darren Cross, the CEO of Cross Technological Enterprises. The Wrap later reported that that role will be filled by House of Cards star Corey Stoll, while Patrick Wilson will be playing his cousin Crossfire. Whether the latter adopts that moniker in this movie remains to be seen.

The comic book version of Darren Cross looked like a pink Hulk, but this take, “will have a suit with a similar feel to Ant-man’s but more military style, yellow and black in colour, and with a tendril-looking apparatus coming off it’s back.” It’s likely that Marvel will make Cross a mash-up of a few different lesser-known villains, similar to what they did with Whiplash in Iron Man 2 and Savin in Iron Man 3.

The site also adds that the Ant-Man suit will have an assortment of red lights all over it, in what they describe as being in TRON-like fashion. The helmet eyes will also glow red when closed, and it apparently opens up like Iron Man’s. As you might expect, ants will also play a major role in the story!

They also have some details on Avengers: Age of Ultron, including the fact that Ultron’s android face will be fully articulated and based on James Spader’s mannerisms. Paul Bettany will also be playing The Vision, and is set to look exactly like his comic book counterpart, with the red, green and yellow design.
