It’s official: Skyfall is amazing. Dave and Jon caught the first press screening of the film around the world on Friday – you can read our review here – and needless to say, the early reactions have been brilliant.
Daniel Craig returns in the lead once more as James Bond, and after catching a new clip from the film last week, we’ve got another clip from Yahoo Movies to share before it heads into theatres next weekend here in the UK.
“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
Starring alongside Craig will be a fantastic cast, headed up by Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench.
Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning director of American Beauty, is making his Bond debut behind the camera, with a script penned by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).
Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres in the UK next Friday, 26th October, followed by an 8th November IMAX release in the US, before going wide in all theatres a day later on 9th November. This promises to be one of the best films of the year, and I can’t wait for it to land. For now, here’s the great new clip to keep the adrenaline running on high.
