It took them long enough, but Netflix has finally given the go-ahead for the third season of the 80’s all-female wrestling series, Glow.

After the staggering success of the first season, season 2 was released on the streaming service last month. However, the service has been keeping their cards very close to their chest regarding season 3. Spoiler alert – At the end of the current turbulent season, the girls were seen jumping on a coach and heading for the glitz and gaudy glamour of Vegas. This is looking likely to be the base of the follow-up season.

GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women’s wrestling. In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin) a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture-perfect life is not what it seems. And at the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling stardom.

Cast details haven’t been revealed but with any luck, the current gorgeous ladies of wrestling including Alison Brie, Marc Maron, Betty Gilpin, Kate Nash, Chris Lowell and more will be returning. We can predict a summer 2019 air date for the new season.
