I’ve been eagerly anticipating Neil Blomkamp’s next big screen project ever since seeing District 9 for the first time; he’s clearly an immensely talented director and the cast he’s lined up so far is very impressive. But with Latino Review revealing that his forthcoming film Elysium has found its villain I just got a little more excited.
They’re reporting that Wagner Moura the star of the excellent Elite Squad films has been cast and will join the likes of Sharlto Copley, Matt Damon and Jodie Foster in his violent futuristic sci-fi flick. The 8th of March 2013 has also been earmarked as the film’s release date.
It’s nice to see the recent love of Elite Squad with this adding to last week’s announcement that its director Jose Padilha will be helming the Robocop reboot.
