Cartoon Saloon have been at the heart of some of the best animated films ever made, and today saw their latest – My Father’s Dragon premiere at the 2022 London Film Festival. The Netflix film stars Jacob Tremblay, Gaten Matarazzo, Golshifteh Farahani, is directed by Nora Twomey and comes from the studio of Cartoon Saloon.

Plot:
Wild Island is home to numerous ferocious animals, including apes, crocodiles, rhinos and even a dragon. But this dragon is young, innocent and isn’t expected to breathe fire for at least a century. Across the sea, young Elmer lives in the big city. An act of kindness to a cat sees him rewarded with a trip to the island. But on his arrival, it becomes clear that it is more of a rescue mission than a vacation.
