Muppets-Most-Wanted-Poster-sliceIt’s not easy being green, especially when you’ve got an evil lookalike who’s the world’s #1 criminal. Such is Kermit’s lot in Muppets Most Wanted, the anticipated sequel arriving in the spring next year.

The first teaser trailer landed at the end of the summer, promising a better, bolder, and bigger (in that order) second film. Disney has more recently launched the first poster and a new UK trailer, the latter surfacing just last week, and now the studio has debuted a new UK poster.

Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais, creator of “Derek” and the Golden Globe®- and Emmy®-winning series “The Office” and “Extras.” The film stars Golden Globe-, Emmy- and SAG Award®-winning actress and writer Tina Fey (“30 Rock,” “Mean Girls,” “Date Night”) as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Emmy Award winner Ty Burrell (TV’s “Modern Family”) as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

Ricky Gervais leads the cast this time around, akin to Jason Segel’s role in last year’s original feature. And joining him are Ty Burrell and Tina Fey, along with a host of celebrity cameos.

James Bobin is back in the director’s chair for the sequel, co-writing the script with The Muppets’ Nicholas Stoller.

Muppets Most Wanted is due to be released in the US on March 21st, 2014, following a week later in the UK on 28th March. For now, here’s the latest poster, which you can click through to enlarge.
