Muppets-Most-Wanted-Poster-sliceKermit and co. are just weeks away from returning to the big screen, with Muppets Most Wanted bringing them back for another slice, following the success of the original.

James Bobin’s The Muppets marked the first film for Jim Henson’s creations in over a decade, netting more than 0m. at the box office, and taking an Oscar for songwriter Bret McKenzie.

And now they’re back for round two, only this time we have Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey to look forward to in the human cast.

With its release just around the corner, Disney have used the Super Bowl as the latest platform to promote its arrival, following the handful of trailers we’ve seen in the past few months, also giving us an extended new look at the film ahead of the spring.

Following on from 2011’s smash-hit The Muppets, all your favorite characters are back in an hilarious all-new spy thriller adventure in Disney’s MUPPETS MOST WANTED, hitting cinemas March 2014. Packed with celebrity cameos and featuring star turns from Ricky Gervais, Tiny Fey and Ty Burrell, MUPPETS MOST WANTED takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, including stops in Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows them overseas as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine, the World’s Number One Criminal, and dead-ringer for Kermit.

Gervais, Burrell, and Fey are set to be joined by a brilliant line-up of cameos, including Tom Hiddleston, Zach Galifianakis, Stanley Tucci, Salma Hayek, Christoph Waltz, Lady Gaga, Danny Trejo, and even Jemaine Clement, the other half of Flight of the Conchords alongside McKenzie.

Bobin directs from a script he co-wrote with Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets, Yes Man).

Muppets Most Wanted will be landing in the US on March 21st, following shortly after in the UK on 28th March. In the meantime, here’s the latest preview for the film, alongside the original Super Bowl TV spot. And in case you missed it last month, you can catch up here on Ben’s brilliant set visit. Enjoy.
