Plans for a TV series revolving around Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. characters Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird and her ex-husband Lance Hunter were scrapped a little earlier this year, but the show is now happening and even has an official title; Marvel’s Most Wanted.

Focusing on the two fan-favourite characters, plot details are being kept a secret, but Variety reveals that “the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story.” While a Mockingbird centric TV series is definitely a good idea on Marvel’s part, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will definitely take a hit if the duo no longer appear there. It remains to be seen how things pan out in that respect.

Adrianne Palicki plays Mockingbird, while Nick Blood stars as her ex-husband, Lance Hunter.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project and are co-writing the pilot. They will serve as showrunners and executive producers together.

There’s no word on an air date just yet as it seems the project is still in the very early stages. ABC has committed to a pilot though, so we should hear more soon. Season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will no doubt also play a role in setting up Marvel’s Most Wanted too!
