A little earlier this year, a report seemingly revealed the villains who will make up “Task Force X” in David Ayer’s DC Comics adaptation, Suicide Squad. However, that was based on the script which started doing the rounds back in 2009, and it has since been confirmed that the Fury helmer is rewriting the screenplay.

A big part of that is likely to fit the movie into the DC Cinematic Universe, especially as Jesse Eisenberg will apparently reprise the role of Lex Luthor after debuting in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Last month, it was revealed that Will Smith, Tom Hardy, and Margot Robbie were all being eyed for key roles in Suicide Squad, but who exactly they might end up playing wasn’t made clear. Speculation quickly began running rampant of course, with fans zeroing on Robbie as the perfect choice for Harley Quinn!

According to a new report, The Wolf of Wall Street actress has indeed been cast as the character, something which makes a lot of sense considering the fact that The Joker will also be in the movie.

There are no further details as of right now, but Harley Quinn is a reasonably new addition to the Suicide Squad as she’s been a member since only 2011. In the comic books, she was an Arkham psychiatrist who fell in love with the Joker and turned to a life of crime thanks to his sinister manipulations and mind games.
