Netflix has set the fifth season for the camp devil-cop series ‘Lucifer’. The season will be the final one in the much-loved series.

In the series, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) abandoned his throne in Hell and retired to Los Angeles where he has teamed up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker to take down criminals.

No further details such as episode count or plotline have been revealed but showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have stated how grateful they are to Netflix for being able to wrap up Lucifer’s journey on their own terms.

” We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come.”

FOX cancelled the series after its third season, but Netflix saved it and produced a shorter ten-episode fourth season. Seasons 1-3 are available via Amazon Prime while season 4 is available to stream now via Netflix.
