Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill stole the show in every single scene they shared in Martin Scorcese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, and the two now look set to reteam for Paul Greengrass’ next movie.

While The Bourne Ultimatum helmer still hasn’t signed up to definitely direct, the movie would see him reunite with Captain Phillips writer Billy Ray if he does indeed end up boarding the project.

The movie is about Richard Jewell, the real-life security guard who found himself vilified as a possible terrorist after finding a suspicious backpack in the Olympics compound during the 1996 games in Atlanta. Though he managed to clear bystanders before the bomb exploded, Jewell was embroiled in a months long investigation which would see his name dragged through the mud despite his heroic actions.

Based on Marie Brenner’s 1997 Vanity Fair article The Ballad Of Richard Jewell, the plan is for Jonah Hill to play Jewell while Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play a Southern attorney who knew him casually.

The real estate lawyer found himself in way over his head as he helped to guide Jewell through the nightmare which would finally come to and end when the FBI cleared him three months later.

It’s obviously still very early days for this movie, but Hill and DiCaprio were reportedly very eager to once again work together after The Wolf Of Wall Street (which earned them both Oscar nominations). Regardless of whether Greengrass ends up directing the project, they clearly hope to move ahead with it soon.
