Lakeith Stanfield has entered into negotiations to star in and produce a feature adaptation of the hit neo-noir video game ‘El Paso, Elsewhere’.

The story will follow James Savage (Stanfield), who, while recovering from a toxic relationship, confronts both his inner demons and enigmatic ex-girlfriend, Janet, before she executes a world-ending ritual. James navigates her reality-bending universe of ethereal monsters while facing the truth of his own addictions and skewed sense of self-worth, learning that the only route to love is through healing.

The production of an upcoming project will be a collaborative effort between Lorenzo di Bonaventura’s Di Bonaventura Pictures, known for their work on blockbuster franchises such as Transformers and G.I. Joe, and Colin Stark. Both parties will be actively involved in the production process.

Stanfield’s most recently appeared in ‘The Book of Clarence’ and is known for his roles in Judas and the Black Messiah, ‘Knives Out’ and more. His upcoming movies include Amazon MGM’s ‘Play Dirty’ opposite Mark Wahlberg.
