Steve Buscemi has joined the cast of the Netflix Addams Family spin-off series ‘Wednesday’ for season 2.

Details for the new season are being kept buried six feet under but it is thought Buscemi is on board to play the new principal of Nevermore Academy.

It has been confirmed that Jenna Ortega will be reprising her role as Wednesday Addams in the upcoming season of the Addams Family series. In this season, we will see Wednesday navigating through the challenges of her teenage years, all while continuing to solve a string of gruesome murders. The previous season ended with Wednesday triumphantly saving her school, Nevermore, from being destroyed and its students from being harmed.

The show is created, co-showrunned and executive produced by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The first four episodes of Season 1 were directed by Tim Burton, who is also an executive producer on the show. The series is further executive produced by Steve Stark of Toluca Pictures, Andrew Mittman of 1.21 Entertainment, Kevin Miserocchi of the Tee and Charles Addams Foundation, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman of Glickmania, Gail Berman, Tommy Harper, and Kevin Lafferty.

Season 2 of the show encountered a setback as the writers’ and actors’ strikes that occurred in 2023 paralyzed Hollywood, leading to a delay in its production. However, it is anticipated that the work will commence in Ireland by late April, as the team is gearing up to get back to work.
