Kevin SmithKevin Smith, by far one of my all-time favourite writer-directors, has been mixing things up a bit of late, and started his own TV show out in the States on AMC with a few of his friends, called Comic Book Men.

The network announced earlier this month that they’d be picking the series up for a second season, and more than doubling its six-episode first season in length for a sixteen-episode second.

Adding to that awesome news comes word that he’s partnering up with Hulu for a new series, Spoilers with Kevin Smith, in which he’ll be reviewing and talking about all of the summer’s biggest and best films, and hosting special guests (I’m rooting for Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield when The Amazing Spider-Man comes along), as well as featuring animated shorts and reenactments.

If there were a list of who I’d want hosting a movie review show, Kevin Smith would definitely be joint first (along with the likes of Quentin Tarantino, and a few others).

““Spoilers” is Kevin Smith’s movie “revue,” a multi-act film extravaganza mixing lively group chats, interviews with movie and pop culture icons, animated shorts and cinematic reenactments. Each week, Kevin, a special guest and movie lovers passionately sound off on the year’s most anticipated summer blockbusters, breaking down their favorite scenes and what should have been left on the cutting room floor.”

Spoilers will be kicking off next month on 4th June, and Hulu have uploaded a few teasers of Smith (and one with Jason Mewes too), announcing the awesomeness that will be this new show.

I have a bad feeling that it will only be available on Hulu to residents in the US, but here’s to hoping that I’ll be proven wrong! Because I’m already very excited, and looking forward to the first show in two weeks’ time. Here are the teasers to whet your appetites.
