The next batch of ‘Star Wars’ is yet to be announced but a hint of an idea in what direction they may be taking has come to light with the announcement Marvel’s Kevin Feige is set to produce a new film in the saga.

Feige will be working alongside Kathleen Kennedy to work on bringing in a new era with the new ‘Star Wars’ movie.

Heat Vision confirmed the news stating that Feige had sat down with Kennedy, studio co-chairmen Alan Horn and Alan Bergman towards the end of the summer to discuss his involvement. Horn went on to confirm the news in the following statement:

“We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox.

Also in news – Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum return for ‘Jurassic World 3’

With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.”

Kennedy will remain in charge but there are reports that Feige has already approached a big name actor telling them there is a role in the new film which he has them marked down for.

Even though December’s release of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ will be the closing chapter in the Skywalker saga there are still a number of ‘Star Wars’ projects planned for Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.
