Jonah Hill has just been nominated for his second Academy Award following an appearance in The Wolf of Wall Street, but the actor will be heading back to his familiar comedic roots for 22 Jump Street later this year. 21 Jump Street shocked a lot of people in 2012 when it ended up being both a critical and commercial hit, and Hill will be reunited with White House Down’s Channing Tatum as the duo head off to college.
What does the poster tell us about the movie? Not much, although we should probably prepare for more hilarious antics from Schmidt and Jenko as they infiltrate a college campus, and their partnership is once again tested as they take on the roles they had when they were in high school for real. 22 Jump Street also stars Ice Cube, Amber Stevens, Jillian Bell, and Craig Roberts.
The sequel Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the sequel is set to be released on June 13th, 2014.
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
