Johnny Depp’s next film will be the big screen adaptation of the gothic TV series Dark Shadows.
Set to be directed by Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland) for Warner Bros., Dark Shadows will see Depp and Burton’s reunite for their eighth feature film together.
According to THR, Depp has been cast as Barnabas Collins, a vampire living in a Maine manor who is searching for his lost love.
Seth Grahame-Smith penned the most recent screenplay.
Production is expected to commence in April 2011 for a late 2012 release.
