John Malkovich, Mark Ruffalo and Parker Posey have been cast in Martin McDonagh’s upcoming Wild Horse Nine feature.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but it is said to be set on an island and that island would ‘be a character’ of the film. The trio join the previously announced cast of Sam Rockwell.

Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin and Anita Overland are producing. Oscar Isaac and Christopher Walken but have since dropped out of the project. McDonagh reunites with Searchlight Pictures, Blueprint Pictures and Film4 for this project.

Filming is set to commence in March on Rapa Nui (Easter Island), the most remote inhabited island on Earth and a protected Chilean wildlife area known for its famous statues.
