‘Tenet’ star John David Washington seems to have got the taste for a bit of sci-fi action as he has joined Gareth Edwards feature ‘True Love’.

The plot is being kept top-secret but it is said to be set in the near future and is from an original idea from Edwards, who will write and direct.

Kiri Hart, who worked alongside Edwards on ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, will produce along with Edwards.

Washington has recently been on set filming the David O. Russell film ‘Canterbury Glass’ at New Regency, and will next be seen alongside Alicia Vikander, Boyd Holbrook and Vicky Krieps in the Ferdinando Cito Filomarino-directed thriller ‘Beckett’ which premieres on Netflix in August.

Edwards made his debut with the 2010 indie ‘Monsters,’ and went on to helm 2014’s ‘Godzilla’ for Warner Bros. and Legendary before heading over to LucasFilm to take on the biggest project of his life with ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.’
