He may not look it, but John Cena is a big softie at heart (just please don’t tell me we said so). It’s this sensitive side he explores in Kay Cannon’s excellent comedy Blockers – and a sensitive side we managed to draw out of him during our interview with the WWE superstar.

Cena tells us how he cries when watching movies, and specifically that it happens on planes. He also speaks about his old friends from school and whether they kept in touch, and what an excellent job Cannon has done on this production, and how helpful it was that she approached the material from a writer’s perspective.

He also talks about his work in the comedy genre, and what we can expect from forthcoming Transformer spin-off Bumblebee. We also ask whether he can sing like The Rock can sing, and on the theme of wrestling rivalries, we ask whether his match against The Undertaker will go ahead at this Spring’s Wrestlemania.
