As the jaunty dwarf Bofur in Peter Jackson’s triology of films based on The Hobbit he brings a lightness to Middle-earth, one rarely glimpsed in the Lord of the Rings films. I spoke to the actor recently about finding the tone, and finding his place among the raucous Company of Dwarves.
