Isis Davis is a name you’re bound to be hearing a lot more of over the years. The talented Londoner (from Ladbroke Grove, like myself no less) is starring in The Secret Garden and is joining the talented writing team for Killing Eve season four. Success that has been learnt and fully deserved. We spoke to her on Zoom, as she talks about her experiences, such as the time spent with Julie Walters, a true national treasure. And we discuss her rise through the industry, the highs and lows, and in particular the challenges of being a black British woman in the arts (recounting a horrifying story of her white stunt double being painted, rather than production hiring a person of colour for the job).

Synopsis
When Mary Lennox’s parents suddenly die, she is sent to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven, on his remote country estate deep in the Yorkshire moors. While exploring, she discovers a hidden magical garden.
