Netflix and Marvel have teamed up once again to bring you another small screen superhero in the form of Iron First. The new official trailer for the series has landed today, and it does a fine job of introducing the new look at the shared universe. This series follows the likes of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil onto the streaming service, with a team up series due soon.

Game of Thrones’ Finn Jones is Danny Rand, the billionaire orphan (yes, another one) whose ability to conjure the mystical Iron Fist sets him on a voyage of hitting and discovery. Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Tom Pelphrey and Jessica Stroup are your new favourite TV gang, gathering around the titular figure. You’ll also see Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple whose appearance here will complete her Netflix Marvel series bingo card.

Bringing The Defenders together for their own series has been the long game the studios have been playing since the launch of Daredevil. It was initially a risky strategy, with Ben Affleck’s take on Daredevil being rounded whipped by the critics. The small screen appears to suit the lesser-known superheros, however. With multiple episodes to bring dive deep into the character arcs, and to establish the genuine threats each hero has faced, it seems to be a winning formula. One Netflix are hoping Iron Fist will follow.

Here’s the first full trailer for the series which arrives on Netflix’s services all over the world on the 17th of March with thirteen hourlong episodes to enjoy.
