Alice-Englert-in-In-FearJeremy Lovering’s In Fear is soon to be landing in cinemas on our shores, bringing a brilliant new entry in the psychological horror genre to the table.

The film had its debut out at the start of the year at Sundance, and went on to have its UK premiere in April at Sundance London – you can read our review here. The film is easily the best horror movie I’ve seen all year, and I’m really looking forward to seeing wider reactions to it.

Following its debut in the UK, the first teaser trailer landed online back in the spring. And with less than two months before its arrival on our shores, StudioCanal has launched the first full-length trailer.

IN FEAR is an intense psychological horror about a young couple’s fight to make it through the night. Home invasion but in a car. In real-time. Tom and Lucy are trapped in a maze of country roads with only their vehicle for protection, terrorised by an unseen tormentor hell-bent on exploiting their worst fears – fear of the dark, fear of the unknown, fear of themselves.

From Big Talk Productions, producers of Shaun of the Dead, Sightseers, The World’s End and Hot Fuzz. Directed by Jeremy Lovering, starring Iain De Caestecker (Joss Whedon’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures, Ginger and Rosa).

Alice Englert and Iain De Caestecker are front and centre as the leads, Lucy and Tom, giving terrific performances, with Allen Leech supporting. Englert and De Caestecker share almost all of the running time alone, and they hold your attention and maintain the tension so well throughout.

Lovering is making his feature debut behind the camera, having helmed episodes of Sherlock, Spooks, Teachers, and more. He’s directing from his own script, with Nira Park (Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, Scott Pilgrim) producing alongside James Biddle (Sightseers, Cuban Fury).

In Fear will be hitting UK cinemas on 15th November, and is an absolute must for fans of the genre. And if you’re in need of any more persuading, it has Simon Pegg’s seal of approval too. Here’s the new trailer. Enjoy.
