Alice-Englert-in-In-FearMaking its UK premiere at Sundance London over the weekend, Jeremy Lovering’s feature debut, In Fear, is definitely a film to put on your Must-See Movies of the Year list if you’re a horror fan.

The British production stars Alice Englert (Ginger and Rosa, Beautiful Creatures), Iain De Caestecker (Joss Whedon’s anticipated Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Allen Leech (Downton Abbey) in the leads. And having just made its debut on our shores, StudioCanal have released the first official trailer.

Driving, lost and tormented in the night, primal fears of the dark and the unknown give way to fear that you have let the evil in, or that it is already there.

From Big Talk Productions, producers of Shaun of the Dead, Sightseers, The World’s End and Hot Fuzz. Directed by Jeremy Lovering, starring Iain De Caestecker (Joss Whedon’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures, Ginger and Rosa).

With a slew of small screen credits under his belt, including the likes of Sherlock, Spooks, and Teachers, Lovering is making his feature debut as both writer and director here.

I saw the film on Saturday night at Sundance London – you can read our review here – and definitely recommend seeking it out when it arrives in theatres later this year.

In Fear remains without a fixed release date for now, but we’re expecting it to arrive in cinemas this summer/autumn. And we’ll hopefully have a firm date to go on soon. For now, here’s the first trailer to set the tone. Be sure to make a mental note to see it later this year. Enjoy.
