Twentieth Century Fox have grabbed The Dark Knight Rises by the bat ears to create this parody trailer for Ice Age: Continental Drift using clips from the film. The thing I don’t quite understand is that The Dark Knight Rises is a Warner Bros. movie, so Fox have basically done some free advertising for Warner by using their summer tent-pole movie to help promote their product. Seems bizarre but that’s movie marketing for you (and I’ll never understand it!).
Nonetheless, this spot is rather amusing as Scrat becomes Stratman in a little movie they like to call The Dark Nut!
Ice Age: Continental Drift is released this Friday 13th July while The Dark Knight Rises will be with us the following Friday 20th July.
