Music documentary Hitsville: The Making of Motown came to the capital this evening for the film’s premiere. Attending the premiere were Ben Turner (Director), Gabe Turner (Director), Leo Pearlman (Producer), Ethiopia Habtemariam (President of Motown Records) as well as Dame Kelly Holmes, Martin Freeman, Niall Horan, Boris Becker, Katharine Ryan, Vernon Kay, Jack Garratt, Will Young, Jordan Stephens, Lemar, Giggs, Josh Denzel (Love Island), DJ Spoony, Carl Cox, Konan, Naughty Boy, Izzy Bizu, Dane Baptiste, Bugzy Malone, Doreen Lawrence, Marc Almond, and David Rowntree.

HITSVILLE: THE MAKING OF MOTOWN focuses on the period beginning with the birth of the company in Detroit in 1958 until its relocation to Los Angeles in the early 1970s. The film tracks the unique system that Berry Gordy assembled that enabled Motown to become the most successful record label of all time.
