How to Train Your Dragon 2 hits UK cinemas today! Earlier in the year we got to watch the first hour of the movie (it wasn’t pretty when they stopped the footage!) to then chat to the film’s Director Dean DeBlois about where Hiccup has gone on his journey and where he may end up.
DeBlois came onto the project on the original movie 18 months before it’s completion after problems that arose during it’s Production. He and his Co-Director Chris Sanders did an amazing job turning the first film into something wonderful and after DeBlois had a treatment for a second and third film, Dreamworks greenlit them and the rest is history.
How To Train Your Dragon 3 (which we expect 2016) will have a definite ending according to DeBlois following the same conclusion that the book series on which it is based does. He speaks about how Cowell’s book series start with Hiccup telling a story about how dragons were part of his life and how they are no more so the third film could be a tough one to watch but I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
