Produced by The Hangover’s Todd Phillips, upcoming party movie Project X looks set to be the next Superbad, with a huge dose of insanity/out-of-control partying. We’ve seen some promising things from the film already, most recently with a host of new images including a Yorkshire Terrier on a bouncy castle.

A brand new eighty-second TV spot has surfaced over at IGN, and it’s every bit as crazy as everything that we’ve seen so far. It’s definitely red-band in rating, with free use of swearing, nudity, and the like, so a hundred per cent not suitable for work!

“Directed by Nima Nourizadeh and produced by Todd Phillips (The Hangover) and Joel Silver (The Matrix), Project X is an out-of-control comedy that follows a group of buds who set out to throw the most epic 17th birthday party ever. The film documents a high school party that gets completely out of control, shot from the perspective of the digital cameras that the kids have with them.”

Nima Nourizadeh makes his directorial debut with this, from a script co-written by Matt Drake and Michael Bacall, the latter of whom counts among his credits the brilliant Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and the upcoming 21 Jump Street remake, so there’s definitely plenty of potential here.

Project X is released in cinemas this Friday, 2nd March, both here in the UK and in the US. Here’s the great new TV spot to give you a taste of what to expect. And again, it’s very much not suitable for work! So be sure to check back in later if you’re reading this at your desk.
