Disney has chosen not to bring Ant-Man, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens to this year’s Super Bowl, instead putting the spotlight squarely on Brad Bird’s very mysterious Tomorrowland.

The Iron Giant and The Incredibles director Brad Bird made an impressive live-action debut with 2011’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, and while fans were disappointed to learn that he wouldn’t be returning for the fifth instalment, the mysterious Tomorrowland has been intriguing us all for ages now.

In Tomorrowland, Frank (George Clooney) and Casey (Britt Robertson) cross paths when the former finds a mysterious old-school lapel-style pin which gives her a vision of a futuristic utopian place…“Tomorrowland”.

We don’t know much more than that, but this TV spot does shed some more light on the mysterious movie by offering up a better look at the dazzling CGI world that Bird has created here. Though only thirty seconds long, it seems fair to say based on this latest preview that Tomorrowland could be 2015’s best looking film!

From Disney comes two-time Oscar winner Brad Bird’s riveting, mystery adventure “Tomorrowland,” starring Academy Award winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank, jaded by disillusionment, and Casey, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.

Also starring Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson, Tomorrowland is set to be released on May 22nd. What do you think about the TV spot?
