BFI and Film 4 funded throwback, gun-slinging movie Free Fire, directed by Essex-born Writer and Director Ben Wheatley, is set to go on tour around the UK and Ireland with special preview screenings.

Wheatley, whose films such as Sightseers and High-Rise have won critical acclaim will join the tour, appearing for special Q&A’s with appearances from the cast at select screenings – but of course, that all remains hush-hush right now. Be prepared as any member of the tremendous cast, including Sharlto Copley (Hardcore Henry), Armie Hammer (Nocturnal Animals), the new Captain Marvel, Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Anthropoid), Jack Reynor (Sing Street), Babou Ceesay (Eye in the Sky), Enzo Cilenti (Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy), Sam Riley (Maleficent), Michael Smiley (The Lobster) and Noah Taylor (Submarine).

Why not have a read through the cities below to see if you can spot your hometown, then take your little legs and trot on down to support great British film and hear Wheatley drop some gems on the film.

Ben Wheatley Joins Free Fire Tour

The film, which has Martin Scorsese gracing the executive producer chair and Wheatley co-writing the story with Amy Jump, had its world premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, which we attended and reviewed the film for, also saw it closing the 60th BFI Film Festival in October 2016.

Tickets are on sale at selected venues with more available very soon:

You can also watch our extensive collection of Free Fire TIFF and LFF Interviews with Wheatley and the cast in this handy little playlist.

Justine (Brie Larson) has brokered a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two Irishmen (Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley) and a gang led by Vernon (Sharlto Copley) and Ord (Armie Hammer) who are selling them a stash of guns. But when shots are fired in the handover, a game of heart-stopping survival ensues.

FREE FIRE will open nationwide across the UK on 31st March 2017.
