Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead, action-thriller Premium Rush is due out this September and it looks like a lot of fun. Think parkour-esque chase sequences, but on a bike.
We saw the first international poster for the film last month, and now its official Facebook has released the first US poster bearing the tagline, Ride Like Hell.
“Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies, open doors, and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day’s work for Wilee, the best of New York’s agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie — super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and suicidal nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic.
But a guy who’s used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when a routine delivery turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan. When Wilee picks up his last envelope of the day on a premium rush run, he discovers this package is different. This time, someone is actually trying to kill him.”
David Koepp (Ghost Town, Spider-Man) is behind the camera for Premium Rush, co-writing the script with John Kamps (Ghost Town), with Gordon-Levitt leading alongside the great Michael Shannon, Dania Ramirez, Jamie Chung, and Aasif Mandvi.
Premium Rush will be released in the US on 24th August, and will then hit our shores slightly later on 14th September, followed swiftly by Looper on 28th September, in which Gordon-Levitt stars opposite Bruce Willis for what promises to be one of the best sci-fi/action films of the year.
