Nicholas Hault in Warm BodiesLed by rising young stars, Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) and Teresa Palmer (Wish You Were Here), Warm Bodies is the latest zombie film to shuffle its way towards the big screen, and it looks like this one’s going to have a great edge to it.

Jonathan Levine (50/50) returns behind the camera, and after catching the first poster for the film last month, the first trailer has debuted online over at ET.

“When a highly unusual zombie rescues a girl from imminent death at the hands of his cohorts, their unlikely romance sets in motion a chain of events that will transform him, his fellow dead and maybe even the whole lifeless world.”

Hoult and Palmer top an excellent cast, joined by Dave Franco (21 Jump Street), Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love.), Rob Corddry (Children’s Hospital), and John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich).

Levine, who has helmed two of my favourite films in recent years (The Wackness and 50/50), is directing from his own script, having adapted the original novel by Isaac Marion.

Warm Bodies will be hitting theatres in the US on 1st February, 2013, before coming to the UK a week later on 8th February. I can’t wait. For now, here’s the first trailer to give you an idea of what to expect. Enjoy.
