Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is perhaps the most exciting movie of 2016 (Captain America: Civil War certainly gives it a run for its money though), but other than a teaser trailer and a couple of posters, we still haven’t seen as much as a single official still. Today though, Warner Bros. has released the first synopsis.
So, without further ado, here it is in full: “Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”
It obviously doesn’t reveal a ton of new information about the movie, but does at least offer some insight into why Batman and Superman end up coming to blows. Don’t be in the least bit surprised if that “new threat” has something to do with Lex Luthor, and if rumours are to be believed, the monstrous Doomsday!
