Warner Bros.’ panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con kicked off with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Zack Snyder arrived on stage with Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and the following image was released online just minutes later of the Amazonian Princess.

The costume borrows all the best parts from her many comic book appearances and stays faithful to those roots without looking cartoonish or silly as other recent iterations – the cancelled NBC pilot for example – have. A lot of people have said that Gadot is too small for Wonder Woman, but she looks just perfect here!

Footage was also shown from Batman V Superman, and our friends over at Empire posted the following description. It sounds a lot like a teaser trailer and will hopefully be released online soon.

It was short but got right down to the heart of the matter. Set at night, in pouring rain, it begins on a rooftop with Ben Affleck’s Batman – in souped-up armour much like he wields in Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, including glowing eyes – pulling a tarpaulin off the Batsignal. It shines into the sky, and then – illuminated against the clouds, flecked with lightning, standing inside the symbol, is Henry Cavill’s Superman. And he does not look happy, his eyes glowing red with burgeoning heat vision ray. The camera tracks in on Batman’s face as he grimaces… and cut to black.

Pretty exciting, eh? What do you think about this first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman?
