The first look at Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield) holding said item has made its way online over at EW, looking every bit as awesome as you’d expect.
And added to that is the brief first clip, pulled from The Avengers Initiative Second Screen App, via ComicBookMovie.
Starring Caplan and Jesse Bradford (Bring It On) as the leading duo, opposite Maximiliano Hernández (Thor) and Titus Welliver (Lost) as two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, the short will be screened at this month’s Comic-Con, giving convention-goers yet another reason to make everyone else jealous for missing out.
“Item 47 refers to the gun itself, which S.H.I.E.L.D. would like very much to retrieve from the hapless young troublemakers. “The world is topsy-turvy now. There’s been an alien invasion, and things are crazy,” explains Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito, who directed the film himself. “So when this gun literally fell into their lap, this is a sign: We’re going to rob a few banks, we’re going to buy a boat, we’re going to the Caribbean, and all our problems will be solved.””
The first two One-Shots ran at four minutes each, but Item 47 has a much weightier 12-minute run-time, which is definitely a great reason to pick up The Avengers on Blu-ray when it hits in two months – if you don’t own a Blu-ray player, now is the time to invest in one!
Item 47 will be released on 17th September, and will be exclusively available on The Avengers Blu-ray / Blu-ray 3D. I can’t wait. As usual, you can click the image to enlarge.
