When we last saw Bran Stark, he had met the cave dwelling and very mysterious Three Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow), and with the character completely absent from season five after his Game of Thrones storyline was put on hiatus for a year, we now have a first look at his return! Needless to say, Isaac Hempstead-Wright has grown up a bit since we last saw him!
Sporting a new haircut and now much taller than he used to be (Entertainment Weekly says he’s around six feet), it’s going to be very interesting to see how Bran’s story develops.
Up until now, most of the speculation surrounding the sixth season of Game of Thrones has revolved around Jon Snow, so its nice to have another member of the Stark family to think about for a while, especially as what’s next for Bran is just as unknown as Jon’s fate.
The sixth season of Game of Thrones will return a little later than normal in April, but that should come around quite fast. It does however leave us with a lot of time to speculate until then, and now Game of Thrones has caught up with George R.R. Martin’s novels, we have absolutely no idea what to expect next year, making these images all the more intriguing…
