FilmDistrict have acquired the US distribution rights to Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, Deadline are reporting.
Drive stars Ryan Gosling (Half Nelson), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Carey Mulligan (An Education), Bryan Cranston (Little Miss Sunshine), Albert Brooks (Finding Nemo), Christina Hendricks (Life as We Know It) and Oscar Issac (Agora).
Drive centers on a Hollywood stunt performer (Gosling) who moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong.
FilmDistrict will release Drive in late Summer or Autumn 2011 in the US. A UK release date has not yet been announced.
