To celebrate the release of Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw on DVD and Blu-ray today, we can reveal our fun-filled we got to spend at Silverstone and McLaren HQ in Surrey.
As seen in Hobbs & Shaw, we got to drive a McLaren 720s around the home of the British Grand Prix – Silverstone race circuit. The entire experience was quite surreal. As we turn up, one of the beautiful McLaren’s is there to greet us in all its glory with another 10 or so revving up behind the pit wall awaiting their passengers.
The McLaren professionals were all very patient with us as most of us had no idea what we were doing but when I was told to floor it, that’s exactly what I did. As you’ll see in the video below, my breaking needed a little bit of work!
After we’d thrashed the cars around the race track, we were driven to McLaren HQ in Woking, Surrey for a behind the scenes VIP tour of the factory and to chat with Hobbs & Shaw director David Leitch about making the movie and what it was about McLaren that he loved so much.
