The collection includes a few stand-out classics: Road To Multiverse – Brian and Stewie use an untested remote control to travel through various parallel universes, ranging from Disney-inspired to lands where humans are subservient to dogs; Stew-Roids – Peter feeds Stewie steroids so he can take revenge on Joe’s baby daughter, Susie, who beats him up in a fight; Quagmire’s Baby – a Quagmire-centric episode which sees him discovering his long-lost baby daughter, while Stewie creates clones of himself and Brian dubbed Bitch Stewie and Bitch Brian.
While there’s a few gems – particularly the brilliantly executed introduction of the Griffins’ new housemaid, Consuella – this collection ultimately proves Family Guy isn’t the controversial, satirical masterpiece it once was. The episodes often fall foul to cliches, unfunny jokes and pointless, uninteresting storylines. Sadly these episodes just don’t compare to the name Seth MacFarlane has battled cancellation, lawsuits and scathing reviews to establish.
All 15 episodes included are extended versions deemed too rude for TV. Family Goy in particular, graphically reveals Peter’s manhood.
